Waterschools in Slovenia
At the beginning of the new school year in Slovenia, we have started a cooperation with Škocjan Caves Park. The protected area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ramsar Site and The Karst and River Basin Biosphere Reserve.
They have established a schools network 15 years ago. A successful model of education that has been recently adopted by WWF Adria. The international schools network of Škocjan Caves Park consist of seven elementary schools in Slovenia and one with Slovene programme in Italy, near the Slovenian border. After the presentation of the project in September 2019, four schools decided to become Waterschools. Škocjan Caves Park generously supported our activities by buying beautiful bottles for all children and teachers included in the project.
