Chapter 1 - The benefits of tap water for health
1.1 - General benefits of hydration
Before going into the specific benefits of tap water for our health and beauty, it is appropriate to briefly recall the general benefits of good hydration:
- nutrients are transported with blood to the cells;
- a proper supply of mineral salts is provided, essential for keeping cells healthy;
- the body is cleansed of toxins and therefore the physiological mechanisms that favor both diuresis and lymphatic circulation are set in motion;
- the body temperature is regulated;
- the appearance of wrinkles is delayed: a study by the University of Southampton and the University of Cape Town in South Africa showed, through a complex system of technologies based on biomechanics, that the appearance of wrinkles does not depend on facial activity or from the state of our collagen but from our level of hydration;
- the physical imperfections caused by cellulite are reduced: water favors the elimination of toxins and impurities that favor the formation of fat cells;
- proper hydration allows the hair to grow and regenerate.
